For added durability in harsh job site conditions, Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) is engineered for improved dust and water resistance and a protective cover helps prevent battery contamination from mixing compound splash back. Its part of Makitas expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion system, the worlds largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries.
